The Concentric Planetary Architecture
Earth's $6,370\text{ km}$ interior is classified both chemically—into the silicate Crust, ultramafic Mantle (84% volume), and metallic NIFE Core—and mechanically into the brittle Lithosphere, ductile Asthenosphere, rigid Mesosphere, liquid Outer Core, and solid Inner Core.

Core Distinctions
The Crust is purely compositional ($5\text{–}70\text{ km}$ above the Moho). The Lithosphere ($10\text{–}200\text{ km}$) is mechanical—combining the entire Crust PLUS the uppermost solid part of the Mantle riding atop the ductile Asthenosphere.
2. Volume & Mass BreakdownCrust: $<1\%$ Volume ($0.5\%$ Mass) · Mantle: $84\%$ Volume ($67\%$ Mass) · Core: $15\%$ Volume ($32.5\%$ Mass).
3. Earth Crust vs. Whole-Earth Elemental AbundanceCrust only: 1. Oxygen ($46.6\%$), 2. Silicon ($27.7\%$), 3. Aluminium ($8.1\%$), 4. Iron ($5.0\%$). Whole Earth (including Core): 1. Iron ($32.1\%$), 2. Oxygen ($30.1\%$), 3. Silicon ($15.1\%$), 4. Magnesium ($13.9\%$).
