THE MERIT GATE
Some programmes base admission primarily on performance in a qualifying examination, subject to the rules of the particular admission cycle. "No entrance exam" must always be verified for the specific institution + programme + admission year.

Direct Entry
THE DIRECT ADMISSION CHAMBER
Direct admission may mean the institution admits eligible candidates without conducting a competitive test. However, "direct admission" can mean merit admission, first-come availability, or institutional category. It is not synonymous with a paid seat.
